This page brings together how we make, sell, ship, return, and protect your jewellery and your data — across our India workshop and our France storefront.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Aksharam Jewels website and your purchase of products and services from Aksharam Jewels.
By accessing our website, creating an account, booking an appointment, placing an order or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and the policies incorporated into them.
Additional policies may apply depending on the product or service, including:
Aksharam Jewels operates a combined B2C and B2B jewellery business.
Customers may purchase eligible jewellery products directly through the website.
B2C website purchases may include:
Loose diamonds are not available for direct B2C checkout through the website.
Loose diamond requirements may be discussed through our B2B team, email or approved communication channels.
Retailers, wholesalers, jewellery businesses and other eligible commercial customers may apply through the retailer onboarding form available on the website.
Our dedicated B2B team generally aims to contact eligible applicants within 8 working hours, subject to business hours, documentation and verification.
Detailed B2B commercial terms are available separately through the B2B Terms & Conditions / B2B Terms PDF.
We currently accept B2C website orders from selected international markets, including:
We may offer worldwide shipping where legally and operationally possible.
We currently do not offer jewellery or diamond shipment to African countries.
We may also refuse or restrict shipment to:
We do not currently accept B2C orders for delivery within India through the website.
Aksharam reserves the right to refuse an order where shipment would violate applicable law or create unacceptable compliance, customs, sanctions or security risk.
Products may include:
Natural diamonds are naturally formed diamonds and are not laboratory-grown.
Aksharam Jewels may use both:
Both are laboratory-grown diamonds.
We will clearly disclose laboratory-grown diamonds as such and will not represent them as natural diamonds.
Submitting an order does not automatically mean that Aksharam Jewels has accepted the order.
An order becomes confirmed only after:
Aksharam may contact the customer if additional information is required before accepting an order.
Once an order is confirmed, Aksharam may issue an Order Confirmation containing relevant agreed information, including:
The confirmed Order Confirmation will be an important reference for the parties in relation to the agreed transaction, subject to applicable law and the underlying contract.
All website prices are displayed in EUR, unless otherwise stated.
For applicable European B2C orders, displayed prices are intended to include applicable VAT.
Where Aksharam is responsible for the applicable import/customs arrangements under the selected delivery model, applicable charges will be handled by Aksharam.
Once an order has been formally confirmed:
The confirmed price is the customer’s final price for that order.
The confirmed price will not be increased because of:
However, if a website or system pricing error has resulted in an objectively incorrect price before an order is validly accepted, Aksharam reserves the right to correct the error and, where appropriate, cancel the affected order and refund any payment received.
Available payment methods may include:
Payment methods may vary by country, transaction value and compliance requirements.
B2C orders require 100% payment before order confirmation, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing by Aksharam.
For bank transfers, an order is not considered confirmed merely because the customer provides a transfer receipt.
The funds must be received and verified in Aksharam’s designated bank account.
After verification, the customer will receive order confirmation.
Unless otherwise agreed:
Depending on the transaction, the balance may be required before shipment or against the agreed shipment documentation/AWB arrangement.
Exceptions may be approved by the Managing Director / Board based on commercial and compliance considerations.
Credit or usance terms are not automatically available.
Where requested, Aksharam may require:
Credit terms remain subject to internal approval.

The shipping provider may vary depending on destination, product value, security requirements and shipment type.
Customers requiring express delivery may contact Aksharam before shipment.
If express service is available, the customer will be informed of the applicable additional courier charge.
Express shipping is subject to:
B2C high-value jewellery shipments are shipped using insured logistics arrangements where available.
Delivery may require signature confirmation.
The customer or authorised recipient must sign for delivery.
Customers should inspect the outer packaging at delivery and follow any damage-reporting procedure communicated by Aksharam or the courier.
For high-value jewellery shipments, customers are strongly advised to record an uninterrupted parcel-opening video from the sealed outer package through to the jewellery inspection.
For any transit-damage or missing-item claim, Aksharam may require:
For a manufacturing/transit defect claim where Aksharam is responsible for return shipping, the unboxing evidence may be required to establish the condition of the product at the time of opening.
Failure to provide requested evidence may affect our ability to verify a claim.
For B2C shipments sold on a DDP basis where applicable, Aksharam intends to manage applicable shipping, import and customs charges included in the transaction.
However, customs authorities retain independent authority over shipments.
Customs clearance may occasionally cause delays outside Aksharam’s reasonable control.
For B2B transactions, customs, duties, taxes, import responsibilities and risk allocation will depend on the agreed commercial terms and applicable Incoterm.
B2B transactions may be conducted using appropriate Incoterms, including where commercially agreed:
The applicable Incoterm must be stated in the relevant quotation, order confirmation or commercial agreement.
Aksharam Jewels produces jewellery with extensive quality control and, where applicable, according to the customer’s selected specifications.
Many jewellery products are therefore made-to-order, customised or personalised.
Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the following are not eligible for discretionary return/refund:
EU consumer law specifically excludes goods made to order or clearly personalised from the standard 14-day withdrawal right. (European Union)
Aksharam does not offer discretionary returns merely because:
except where a mandatory legal right applies.
Where a return is legally or commercially approved, the product must generally be:
Aksharam may inspect the product before approving any return.
A return request does not automatically constitute acceptance of a return.
Every jewellery order undergoes our internal Triple Quality Control (3QC) before dispatch.
Where a customer reports a genuine manufacturing defect, Aksharam may inspect the item and determine an appropriate remedy, which may include:
Any statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
For EU consumers, defective/non-conforming goods are subject to mandatory legal guarantee rights, including a minimum two-year legal guarantee under EU rules, subject to applicable national law. (European Union)
Returns/warranty claims do not cover damage caused by:
Where a refund is approved:
Return shipping is generally the customer’s responsibility unless the return is approved because of a verified issue for which Aksharam is responsible.
Aksharam follows internationally recognised ring-sizing practices.
Customers should carefully review the sizing information before ordering.
Any resizing request should be submitted within 14 days of delivery, where resizing is technically possible.
The customer must contact: Contact@aksharamjewel.co before sending any jewellery.
The appropriate return/resizing address will be provided privately after the request is reviewed.
Customers must not send jewellery to an address obtained from an old document, website search or previous communication without receiving current written instructions.
The jewellery must be:
Not all rings can be resized.
Examples include certain:
Aksharam will determine whether resizing is technically possible.
Resizing may alter the physical structure of a piece and therefore resized jewellery is generally non-returnable/non-exchangeable, subject to applicable statutory rights.
Aksharam may provide a commercial warranty depending on the product.
The exact warranty period may vary by product category.
For watches and mechanical/titanium mechanisms, the warranty may be limited because excessive force, misuse or abnormal mechanical stress can significantly reduce product life.
For EU B2C sales, any commercial warranty is additional to, and does not replace, mandatory statutory conformity rights. (European Union)
Rhodium replating services may be available for eligible jewellery.
Availability, cost and processing time depend on:
Customers should contact Aksharam before sending any item.
Aksharam Jewels is not a general jewellery cleaning service.
Customers may contact us for recommendations regarding professional jewellery cleaning providers in selected locations, including London and France.
For suitable jewellery, customers may also use an appropriate jewellery cleaning kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Improper cleaning methods may damage jewellery and may affect warranty eligibility.
Depending on the stone and customer requirement, certificates may include:
Certificates may include:
The applicable certificate will depend on the stone and order.
The final diamond certificate number may be reflected in the final delivery documentation and/or final invoice.
The initial order invoice may not contain the final certificate number because diamond procurement may occur after order placement and the final selected stone may be sourced subsequently.
Diamond grading is based on the applicable laboratory certificate and the agreed product specification.
Where a customer selects a specific quality specification for a centre stone, Aksharam will endeavour to supply the agreed specification.
Side stones/pavé stones may be matched to the agreed design and quality parameters as commercially specified.
Website images may be CAD renders, digital images or representative product photography.
Natural and laboratory-grown diamonds are individual stones.
Therefore, reasonable visual differences may occur between:

Aksharam seeks to source diamonds responsibly and may provide origin/traceability documentation where available.
Depending on availability, documentation may include:
Aksharam’s stated sourcing policy for its relevant diamond business is to use non-Russian diamonds and conflict-free sourcing practices.
Where a specific origin claim is important to a customer, the customer should request supporting documentation before order confirmation.
Aksharam will clearly disclose laboratory-grown diamonds.
Terms such as:
may be used where legally appropriate.
Laboratory-grown diamonds are not represented as natural diamonds.
Aksharam provides applicable metal purity information with its jewellery.
Applicable gold purity documentation may be provided.
Where applicable, Indian BIS hallmarking standards may be used for relevant products manufactured/certified in India.
For France/EU sales, applicable French/EU hallmarking, import and precious-metal requirements will apply.
French customs guidance states that precious-metal articles imported from outside the EU can be subject to French responsibility and guarantee hallmark requirements and testing procedures. (Douane Gouvernementale)
Therefore, we will not publish “BIS hallmark = European hallmark”. These are separate regulatory systems.
Jewellery-grade 925 silver may be used.
